Happy birthday, kitties!
April 16th was a very special day at Red Jasper Farm & Sanctuary

The four siblings celebrating their birthday. Definitely not photoshopped.
April 16th just so happens to be the birthday of not one, not two, or even three, but four of our Red Jasper cats! Tiramisu, Tostada, Enchilada, and Moon Pie- Tina’s kittens. The four have been such a great addition to the Red Jasper crew and we’re so happy that they were born here, even though they’re trouble makers. They cause so much trouble in fact, we’ve started calling them Partners In Crime! They even have their own roles in their little heists:
Toastada: The Boss/ The Queen of Trouble
Toast is the one who gets things done! She’s feisty and bossy, and she keeps the others in line, she’s also very purr-swaysive. Toast is also is the go-getter; whenever her siblings are sleeping, or if she wants a job done herself, she’s not afraid to get her paws dirty. She’s been known to knock whole baskets of fresh Red Jasper eggs off the counter, lick butter we've left out to soften (bad idea!), she licks out the bowls we put in the sink, and even took a bite out of a loaf of bread once! But she isn’t just in it for herself, she pays the others by knocking off single eggs from the counter.
Moony: The Scrapper/ The Brawn
Moon is always looking for a fight. He’s never afraid to throw paws, even with the big cats- and even the dogs! If Queen Toast needs someone out of the way, or a distraction while she’s stealing something from the kitchen, she calls in Moony. He’s the muscle. No one wants to mess with him, and if they do they regret it.
Enchilada: The Brains/ Th3 h@cker
Enchi rarely gets her paws dirty in the work of thievery, unless Toast makes her. Her specialty we like to think is probably the planning. She most likely draws the blueprints showing where everyone should be at what time. If she were a person we like to think she surely would be the hacker, looking at three different monitors at once, guiding the others while sipping her soda. Who knows, maybe she does and we just haven’t found her hideout yet…
Tiramisu: The “Innocent” One/ The Hairstylist
Last but not least we have Sue. Sue usually stays out of her siblings’ shenanigans, since she’s the oldest, but occasionally steps in when they need it. She does occasionally join Toasty in the sink or Moony in the scrapping. Maybe she joins Enchi in the planning- who knows. But she usually just stands clear of their chaos. In her spare time she practices hairdressing. She often goes around giving people hairdos when they’re sitting on the couch or when they come to close too her favorite cat perch. She’s very good at a giving her victims— I mean customers— a very windblown look, one that many hairdressers try but just can’t get quite right. She’s a pro.
But over all, even with all the chaos they cause, we still love the little Partners in Crime. We’re glad that they could be born here, instead of out in the prairie where Tina almost had them.
