Twenty-eight was also raised for
the meat business, hence his
name, as mutton sheep are
commonly referred to as their
number. We just called him that
as a placeholder, but it stuck.
However, we have come up with a
new nickname; Pedro. Pedro
wasn’t raised with a bottle, nor did
we get to spend much time with
him when he was young, but he’s
become very sweet in his old age,
and will always come running up
to his caretakers for unlimited
scratches. He’s also the only sheep that we’ve taught to jump for treats!
