Nutmeg was adopted from the Dumb Friends League by a woman years ago. We’re exactly not sure when. However things with Nutmeg weren’t working out, and the lady gave her to another home. At the second home, things weren’t much better. So the new owner reached out to us. We drove down to Denver to get Nutmeg (as well as Orangy and Galaxy) to her forever home. Today she is living happy and healthy in the sanctuary, and we love having her here.

Nutmeg has a knack for getting into places she really shouldn’t, and most other cats wouldn’t dare try to get into. She can open doors, sliding doors, long handle doors, etc. She’s found her way into numerous bizarre places including closets, kitchen towel drawers, even the empty space BEHIND drawers when they’re open- Nutmeg has been in them all.

Once upon a time she caused a ton of disaster around her room by peeing on all objects that were left of the floor, but an auto cleaning cat litter robot and a urinary tract health diet has got her fixed right up. She now is (mostly) peaceful, and loves snuggles. All the pee has been cleaned up and we’re all very grateful!
